MyJustice is conducting a capacity building workshop on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) for its CSO partner organisations on February 27 – 28 at Esperado Hotel in Yangon.
Thirty-five participants from 12 CSO partner organisations attended the workshop to learn how to design rigorous Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning processes for their project implementation.
Modules on problem identification, project design, developing indicators and a log frame, and M&E plan preparation are key subjects on the agenda for the two-day workshop.
Salai Ye Win Tun, Project Manager from Yatana Matta organization said, “Attending this workshop makes me to be able to show what are the significant impacts of the project. I also hope to learn the specific tools that can be used to measure the results of legal aid in this training.”
Aye Thinzar Ye Win, Theatre Manager of Art for All said, “Learning about Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning topics in this training inspired me how to better plan for MEL. As we are working with community, sometimes we cannot show the result/impact of the project with significant data except qualitative interviews with beneficiaries. I will pilot test to compare the [MEL] methodologies. Then we will use the more suitable methodology for the project.”
There will be a one-day follow-up session on March 14, where each organisation will present their final MEL plan, based on knowledge gained at the workshop.
